Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort

Set on the Le Domaine de Bel Ombre Nature Reserve the Awali Heritage Golf & Spa Resort is a 5* luxury hotel that makes up part of the Heritage Bel Ombre Resort on the south coast of Mauritius.  There are three hotels in total, each offering different accommodation styles, but some facilities such as the Beach Club water sports centre, Spa and golf course are shared and guests can visit the different restaurants across the complex.

Lush tropical gardens surround the hotel which overlooks an idyllic palm fringed, white sand beach and turquoise lagoon. The main buildings centre around a large pool that is surrounded by the al fresco bars, restaurants and terraces.

The Deluxe Rooms, Suites and Villas are arranged in a village amidst lush landscaped gardens, some are ocean facing with private verandahs which spill out onto the beach. All rooms include a long list of amenities such as air conditioning, electronic safe, hair dryer, mini bar, free wifi, en suite bathroom with separate bath and shower.

Dining
Guests have access to 12 restaurants and eight bars across all of the hotels in the the Domaine de Bel Ombre complex. At the Awali Hotel guests can enjoy 5 restaurants, including The Seven Colours Energy Cuisine, with a spiritual concept or venture to one of the other restaurants on the resort. Le Château de Bel Ombre is located in the 19th century manor house and offers a typical Mauritian menu. In the evening the trendy ‘C’ Chill Bar is the place to be.

Activities
There are two lovely pools, with access to an additional pool at C Beach Club, water sports of every description (some complimentary) and a nearby 9 hole and 18 hole championship golf course at the Heritage Golf Club courses. Green fees are complimentary and  unlimited  if you take up the Full All Inclusive package) Golf Carts, clubs and pull trolleys are available to hire at a cost.

On land the hotel offers many unique recreational activities including table tennis, archery, and giant chess or guests can relax in the Seven Colours Spa where they can benefit from a wide range of massages and treatments. The Awali also offers guests access to the Frédérica Nature Reserve, a children’s mini club, and to the fitness centre.
